The seminar will see the launch of Stonewall’s new initiative the School Champions programme, aimed at the School Champion lead member of staff.
The seminar will also see the launch of our latest Education Guide on effective school leadership, aimed at headteachers and school senior leadership teams. The guide will look at the importance of leadership in preventing and tackling homophobic bullying, how to manage resistance and how to bring key partners with you, including governors, staff, parents/carers and pupils.
The seminar will feature guest speakers from schools who have used effective leadership as a tool for tackling homophobic bullying. There will also be opportunities to network with other School Champions, our local authority Education Champions and Stonewall staff.
