As part of LGBT History month Blackwell’s will be hosting a launch event of their “Books That Celebrate Difference” . The books will help show that people and families come in all shapes and sizes and most importantly that it’s OK to be yourself. There will be a whole range of heart-warming books available which address diversity and difference, and the opportunity to hear readings from Gene Kemp author of The Turbulent Term of Tyke Tyler and former children’s laureate Anne Fine.
The event will take place 13th February 19:00 – 21:00 at Blackwell’s London Store, 100 Charing Cross Road, London, WC2H 0JG. There will be a formal launch followed by a wine reception, with the opportunity to meet and network with Stonewall staff and other colleagues in the sector.
If you are interested in attending please contact Education@Stonewall.org.uk.
Blackwells are also running a special promotion on the sale of these books. To find out more download Blackwell's promotional brochure.
