FIT, get the word
A Q&A session with Rikki Beadle-Blair, Director of FIT, and Samuel Hopcroft from Stonewall. Both answer questions from students about the production of FIT and the impact it's having across Britain:
What the writer / director says about FIT
- 'I would ask the kids how many people thought homosexuality was wrong. In every single school the vast majority, about 80 per cent, would put their hands up. But kids would come up after the performance and say quite openly 'I walked into this room homophobic and will leave it a changed person.'

What people say about the FIT DVD
- 'I am an S4 student and I think FIT is really good because it's not old fashioned; it relates to young people nowadays. Also, FIT acts out the movie about homophobic bullying in a way that we understand by using humour and people our age.'
Andy, secondary school student
- 'A fantastic resource to discuss sexuality, relationships within the family/ friends, student-teacher. It is funny, inspiring, honest, up-to-date, educational, encouraging, engaging, positive, critical, realistic and entertaining. I've seen it three times!'
Pia, secondary school teacher
- 'I was thrilled that the production values were so high and the content so accessible and flexible - I'm sure that it is going to become a ground-breaking tool for schools. Money truly well-spent. I'm sooo proud of Stonewall, right now.'
