FIT is the feature film adaptation of Stonewall’s highly successful play for schools aimed at tackling homophobic bullying - and seen by more than 20,000 students around the country. Thanks to our supporters we’ve been able to produce FIT, the movie. Interactive DVDs of FIT were sent out to every secondary school in Britain in February 2010.
Homophobic bullying is rife in schools. In recent YouGov research for Stonewall, nine in ten teachers said their pupils experience homophobic bullying. But nine in ten teachers have never received any training on how to prevent and respond to homophobic bullying.
Stonewall is committed to helping teachers tackle homophobia and homophobic bullying in their schools. FIT, the movie – the first of its kind - will provide some of the help, resources and training teachers have been desperate for in combating the problem.

I am 13 years old, and I watched this film in my PSE class at Cumnock Academy. This film was loved by everyone in my class and we learned a lot from it. The best part of this film has to be the dancing parts, as I love the song in the background. Thank you!

I am 15 and started watching this in my PAL (prep for adult life) class at school. I absolutely love it! our group was the last to start watching it, so everyone else was doing the "sweetform" and "chisler" dances and we were all sooo confused :L i was supposed to be watching the other half today but had to do science revision instead :( :( i'm desperate to watch the rest of it, it's a fab film!! xx

I am 14, in Year 10, and we watched this film today as part of our Diversity Day at school - it is amazing! When people first knew we'd be talking about homophobia it was very awkward but we launched straight in by watching Fit and it really broke down the barriers and made people understand more about LGBT people and how hard it can be to cope when you feel that you will be persecuted if you come out. Everyone was paying attention (which, believe me, NEVER usually happens) and everyone laughed and gasped in the right places. The film is so cleverly written, it doesn't come across as corny at all. The acting and dancing is brilliant and I definitely understand more about LGBT people now because of this film and the guest speaker from Stonewall. Excellent job! :)
