Effective school leadership

Headteachers play a central role in implementing policies and procedures in their school which help create an environment where all children and young people can enjoy learning and be themselves.

However, only two in five secondary school teachers and less than half
of primary school teachers in Britain say their headteacher has demonstrated a clear leadership role in tackling homophobic bullying.
