Get involved with tackling homophobic language at school.

There are lots of ways the whole school community can get involved in tackling homophobic language.

  • Use Stonewall's 'Gay. Let's Get Over It!' resources

Stonewall has produced posters and guidance to help teachers and young people tackle homophobic language with pupils and peers.

  • Write and tweet your school  

Make sure your school is doing all it can to tackle homophobic bullying by writing a letter telling them how important it is to you. Either write your own or use this template letter as a guide! Don't forget to tweet your school too using #GetOverIt  

  • Become a School Champion

Joining Stonewall's School Champions programme will give teachers in your school all the tools and training they need to tackle homophobic language and bullying. You'll also get a pack of Stonewall resources. Find out more about the programme and benefits here. 

  • Hold an assembly or a fun event to raise money for Stonewall
