So...you think your child is gay?
Stonewall has written a new guide (So...you think your child is gay?) which is designed to give answers to some of the common questions that parents might have when they think their child is gay, or has just come out. Written in plain English, it dispels the common myths about what being gay means for young people, as well as helping parents to create a supportive environment for their children. Read more
Homophobic bullying
Homophobic bullying is almost endemic in Britain's primary and secondary schools and with school staff saying it is the most common form of bullying after bullying because of weight. (The Teachers' Report) Any young person can experience homophobic bullying and if your child is targeted, this does not mean that they are lesbian, gay or bisexual. Read more
Supporting your child
Just because your son or daughter is lesbian, gay or bisexual, this doesn't mean they will have a harder time growing up. It also doesn't mean they have changed. What has changed is that now you know them a little better.
