Stonewall comment:

Our thoughts, love and solidarity are with those whose lives have been affected by this tragedy.

'We are absolutely heartbroken by the devastating hate crime at Orlando-based LGBT nightclub Pulse. This violent attack on LGBT people has been described as one of the worst mass shootings in US history, with 49 people shot dead and another 53 left in critical condition.

What happened at Pulse is a powerful reminder of how important it is to stand in solidarity with the LGBT community, either as part of it or as an ally - all of whom are crucial to our movement.

During dark times like these, it is vital that we take the time to remember to embrace, support, love and look out for one another.

Despite this being a dark, vulnerable time for LGBT around the world, our work will not stop until all LGBT people, here and abroad, are accepted without exception. Until then, we will remain by your side, and we hope you will stand by ours and the side of all lesbian, gay, bi and trans people too.

Our thoughts, love and solidarity are with those whose lives have been affected by this tragedy.'
